Simond 9mm ropes

Has anyone used the simond 8.9 or 9mm ropes?

They're pretty cheap but I've no idea what their durability is like.

Any experience would be welcomed.

A friend has a 9.something. It's quite stiff, seems durable, handles not terribly, seems not as stretchy as some. Like an anti-Beal.

i have one and love it for these very reasons. The skinny diameter and the burly construction balance each other quite well.

Cheers both - I got one at the weekend so I should try and book a trip to test it out on some long euro routes!

It doesn't seem overly stiff (compared to some others anyway) so will see how it goes.

Oh, I forgot to mention that it doesn't like cheatstone cairns collapsing on it.

I managed to turn my brand new 100m in an 80 that way...
