Pit Problem, Trowbarrow
June 14, 2015, 06:17:57 pm
Hello,
Less of a beta request, more of a where does it start clarification. The sit is obvious - starting in the LH corner and moving right then up etc.. But the 'stand' (7B+) - is does this start with

(1) the RH on the higher sidepull on the face then put right heel on the big flat diagonal ledge and upwards etc.. or
(2) the RH on the top of the big flat diagonal ledge, then bring heel up below it and move up with RH for the sidepull..

Just asking as 2 takes one fairly strenuous move out of the picture - and a couple of vids have people starting like this, but it seems a bit more of a proper problem as (1)...

Start crouching with left hand on good edge and right on top of the ledge.., like this guy (it's not me) most vids I've seen start a move or two in!

Joe's method is the correct stand up and for the sit I thought it made sense both hands matched on the end of the jug rail/crack (left of where his hand is in the vid above), before crossing over with the left.
