Harrogate restaurant recommendations
May 06, 2015, 02:44:36 pm
Bit of an odd request I suppose but I know a few people may have something to recommend. Need to eat out in Harrogate tonight before a gig. Any recommendations? Would prefer not to have a curry but anything else goes.

Graveleys for posh fish and chips/seafood in town
Square and Compass in North Rigton is really good now if you are coming over from that way
Coach and Horses is the best pub in town I think, although this may have changed now
The Old Bell is the Market Town Tavern in Harrogate, so you'll know what to expect if you've been to the others.

Had an excellent Italian meal in Sasso a couple of weekends ago - maybe a bit too 'nice' for a pre-gig meal but they also have Caffe Marconi a couple of doors away which is more relaxed (pizza/pasta rather than lobster ravioli - yum).

Thanks for the suggestions. True to form I have asked UKB for help and then ignored the advice. Our neighbour popped round for a cup of tea and recommended Bistro Pierre so we went there. Was decent grub but atmosphere was a bit "chainy" for my taste.
