Pillar Face - Hobby Moor Quarry
February 16, 2015, 09:44:50 am
Does anyone know if you have to go straight to the top from the second pocket on this one? I used a good hold out left near the corner to then reach the top with my right hand (no bridging as per the guide). Only occurred to me later on that it might go straight up.
Thanks in advance.

If you mean the problem on the little wall just below dragons route etc then it is straight to the top. I reckon this is about 6c-7a. Going out right is probably about 6a. Great problem. Oh how I miss that back wall traverse!  :'(

Actually, thinking about it now I can't remember if there is actually another move before the top! This is what 2 years away will do to you.

Thanks. Next time I'm there I'll just cover bases and do it both ways. Hopefully without rapping my knuckle into the top of the second pocket.

Straight to the top. It's a great move
