When I'm fowl I enter a cockfight with an owl, solve Carol's conundrum with C N T and one vowel....

It's no shiny metal owl but I've been doing lots of drawing and painting recently

Nice one Scouse. Serene.

Calling out 1000-Dave to this thread too.

My only "art" recently has been quake levels....

Thanks guys.

Scouse I really liked your landscape but I can't see it anymore?? Anyway it looked ace, I can't draw stuff like that without it looking completely flat and lifeless so nice one.

Fiend I know less than nothing about Quake (this is a computer game right?) levels so can't really comment, but the middle one has dead nice tone/colour.

Thanks Nik. I only started drawing last December but have found it to be really immersive and enjoyable.
I've no idea why you can't see it on the thread anymore, I'll try to fix it in a bit.

Sort of in the spirit of the 'owt for nowt' thread, I've been trying out a few bits of art and sculpture using surplus building materials.  Enjoyed doing this thing most recently.  It's done with emulsion and hammerite on plasterboard

I’ve been taking a break from drawing pictures of kids book fire engines and have instead decided to bring various old mix tape favourites to life. Any requests will be considered, though I don’t think I can being myself to do anything Guns’n’Roses...

(I had B-Real and Den Dog on the list, but it’s very hard finding original on stage images vs them as portly middle-aged men.)

I will have to have an internal debate about the former. I don’t know the latter, but he appears to fit into the aesthetic I have in mind, so I will proceed at some stage.

jwi has already requested Miles Davis.

I am going to carry on the music pics, but I woke up this morning with extreme 80s sport climbing psyche (via Ru’s Instagram) and decided to draw Ben and Jerry.

I quite want to take them on an 80s euro road trip. Am I correct in thinking Ben had a 205Gti in 88/89? And where should I send them?

He certainly did in the early 90s (others will know the dates better). I had a non-climbing friend who lived on the same road as Ben around then, not knowing who he was he'd assumed (wrongly, obviously) that Ben must be a drug dealer given his apparent lack of a job, frequent absences from home, and nice car.

Lockdown Paintdown Part 1:

A Warhammer 40k Space Marine looking particularly arcane and knightly.

Lockdown Paintdown Part 2:

Plague Doctor aka The Cure Is Worse Than The Disease

(For some reason the forum slightly upscales the images regardless of the original size?? So they're not quite as crisp as they should be)

Yoss, love this idea, but am mildly disturbed by Jerry's skin tone. Maybe dial it down a notch?

Ahhh... yes, you might be right.

Also Ben’s dreads need some improvement too. I will address.

Ok, an improved version...

I think I'm going to do them on the road in the 205, maybe with Sean Myles in the back? I should probably dig out the Power of Climbing...
