'Choke it' - to grab a pendulous protruberance as if one where trying to strangle it with one hand, often on wierd cow's teat type holds found on tufa-ry rock. In action, the expression is used a little like ' yeah, choke down on it, dude!' (if in the US). To help with visualisation, imagine one's hand position if indulging in a little self love/a visit to Madam Palm and her five wicked daughters (applicable to boys, this one!). In most cases your hand is in the choking position, unless you've found a better way!!!

The Chop - Again, a way of taking a hold is if one were trying to administer a karate chop. A type of guppy, although even stranger.

Drop it - To inadvertantly loose contact with the rock. ' Yeah, I was high up, when all of a sudden I dropped it!'

belly bounce - there is a definite bb move on Angel Face at Woodhouse scar.

When I hit the arete with my right hand I do a double bouncing sequence, to get my foot above the lip on a smear: first me ample belly, then a knee, before conventional rubber:rock contact returns.

Very satisfying.

bellies have their uses  :D

One curious one is "muckle"

Mark tells of bouldering with some yanks where they came out with "Doood, muckle up to the jizzler (chisler?)"

wtf is to muckle  :?

The chissler or chizzler(fuk knows) is a hold on a route at smith rock, muckling up i presume is to pull fiercely hence 'muckle up to the chizzler'
Mark is the man to ask and yes Si B does shout it all the time
i actually prefer the
'put it to the sword dude, slay the beast'

It was on Rude Boys at Smith Rocks. I was just starting the crux sequence - a pull to a poor mono called the jizzler then a rose move off it - when someone shouted "Muckle up to the jizzler". Everyone cracked up, me included, and I fell off.

Muckle is Scottish for lots or big. Remember, "Mony a mickle maks a muckle".

Same trip to Smith someone shouted at me as I set up for a big slap to an unknown hold, "Send it, it's a truck". Luckily it was truck-sized.

Unwind; extend from a bunched position, cortesy of our transatlantic cousins.

How about ninja hands? To get slappy? Like fast hands. Have a photo of a mate doing ninja hands somewhere.

To 'Turbo Glide': to astral plain up a piece of rock; kind of remove your self from where you are and all of a sudden you are the top - fucking magic, like, really man...

SLOTHER - see Bonjoy on the St Bees video (term also used to describe our dog dragging her underbelly through muddy puddles)
SLUG WOBBLE - see Bonjoy on the St Bees video (but add some bouncing undulations for maximum effect)
