Thinking of buying a Mondo pad but have huge reservations over the foam. Old reviews and friends experiences have always been negative. But the size and waist strap are big pull factors for me. Combined with the talk of the new foam being pretty good. They've also got one down the wall and I'm off to font on Friday. Anyone got one at the moment? Should I get an edelrid crux (£230) or a moon Saturn (190) instead?

The alternative is to sack off the big pads and just buy a dominator.

what i heard was that the old foam sometimes went soppy quickly.
i think it is too soon to tell with the new pads.
i bought the new mundo four months ago, used it for a month long bouldering trip, and a four or five weekends, and it still feels like new.
