I *tried* to ruin Kingy's first 8a in Ceuse years ago by being quite inept with a gri-gri and not paying out slack quick enough, but after a stern talking to "no, no, this won't do at all!" I managed to be competent enough to not-ruin it

I was climbing in SA and reached up to wrap fingers round a small flake ready to clip and felt what turened out to be a gecko wriggling in front of my fingers. I wasn't sure it was a gecko util afterwards so opted to take the plummet.

Then didn't tell someone who turn up later that it was there when they did the route, and waited to see their reaction
