The Ethics of Finger Pockets

Both me and Jon were strugling last night to get our fingers in the obvious hole, I sugested that if I put some hair around it we'd get it in every time.

Is this ethical?

I think it's ok to use a Merkin so long as you brush it off afterwards.

In a similar vein, there are a couple of 'nose-like' holds on problems here that I have trouble hitting - would it be ok to stick on a false moustache beneath the holds to help me focus??
