question.

Italian family (no, but really!) who owned cafe. Scumbag doley climbers in early 80s lived in the cave, and hung out in the cafe. A tenuous connection, but that is the only link I know of. I guess it is quite close to the cafe (300 metres?)

I'll ask CJD, he probably knows the family, being a proper Welsh local, rather than a johnny-come-lately like meself.

On the money there Si
made ice cream for a living as well. basically Pollitt et al would hang there whilst resting and eye up the main mans daughters. He was actually quite a nice guy and would give the climbers free food and let them scarf off the tables(eating leftovers basically!) hence they named it after them.
the other place to hang was the Milk Bar on the high street where evryone that was really skint would go in a evening and just hang out with a cup of tea, it got to the stage where so many people were dossing around trwyn that the police actually raided this place and hauled everyone in for questioning.
As a side issue I was drinking with pollitt in Oz and he told me that a climber from the 80's who was not that well known but some might be aware of him was actually a police informant/intelligence gatherer. Might be bull but it got me thinking...

Just spoke to CJD, he reckons there were 3 Parisella's cafes: One at the start of Marine Drive, one in town and one on Craig y Don. I believe the one in town is now closed, but the Craig y Don one is still open.

Isn't about time that somebody posted a picture of Fatboyslimfast's name tag on the left wall?

Also, see the lead news story on my site: Parisella's ground level drops.

having spent a lot of time in that park that is no surprise. Hanging around after dark was not to be recommended... highest incidence of male rape in the UK. i think the trauma would be enough to create 'witches with broomsticks' in anyone's mind
