Emissions and tax seems to be forcing people back towards smaller capacity engines with turbos and I do wonder what the longevity of these 3 cyclinder tiny engines will be. They're being sold as city cars and lot of short journeys and low total total mileage is going to mean lots of turbo wear with not many oil changes. /tangent

Smaller CC's seems to work with a Hybrid though... (Prius is a 1.5 IIRC)... that electric motor makes up for the torque I suspect...

ive got a Saab, brilliant car. One of the older 95's in diesel. loads of room for trips out and you can get three big pads in the back and one ratchet strapped on the roof bars. Good MPG. Insurance might sting you a bit tho. Mates have got mondeos and you cant really fault them. you could get a nice Transit for that money as well
