c)  No-one will throw you out of the club for catching 40 winks on a comfy chair (as happened to my girlfriend, in 'BED', Sheffield!  Cheeky fux!)?

Also happened to me! Perhaps if they hadnt thrown people out and concentrated on why people would want to go to sleep in there then they wouldnt have gone out of business.

Some good knowledge on this page... Propaghandi is definitely not to everyone's taste, but if you get past the "noise" then it is pretty good. I prefer their older stuff like How to clean everything but this new album is ok. I saw them live a few years ago in London, was a pretty funny gig. Loads of teen's who thought they had the world figured out...

Love Parade sounds intense, and I definitely would like to go. Seeing it here again has only reawakened that desire, so time to make the calls, and as peter kay would say "booked it, packed, fucked off".

As for some recommendations; Matthew Dear as Audion - Fabric 27 Just listening to this now and it is very very good. Matthew dear has never dissapointed me and this latest album continues his domination. An interesting choice of tracks but still a very recognisable sound. Definitely worth getting if you're into techno.

That Jeff Mills shizzle sounds very interesting, I have a sort of on/off approach to his stuff (i.e. I have a lot of CDs but don't actually get that excited by the music), but I'd like to see the results of that collaboration. Cheers for the link Bubs.

Hopefully they'll get some samples up at some point...

Yesterday I was mostly listening to somafm (Clique Hop station)

Today I have mostly been listening to ragga:

http://www.juno.co.uk/ppps/products/186263-02.htm

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0007WQH8A/qid=1142614153/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/202-6202335-3477413

(Hopefully Juno will restock the second one so you can search for Bubble Up and check out the play list, pretty cool riddim in that one too).

Quality stuff.

Currently sat at home debating whether to head outside 'cos it's so bleedin cold having spent the last ten days sweating in the Caribean.

Some tunage I'd enjoyed on holidays:

Omega Watts; The Find
Quality mellow Hip-Hop with production values reminiscent of the golden age (90-95) artistes Souls of Mischief, Black Sheep, Tribe etc.

Boris; Akuma No Uta:
I was expecting some japanese version of dark Sun 0>>> drone metal but was pleasantly surprised to find a great mix of Earth type stoner rock with Lazy Cowgirls/The Dwarves garage punk-rock - quite brilliant if that kind of thing floats your boat.  Plus the cover is a funny rip-off of Nick Drake's Bryter Layter which is intriguing in itself.

Panic at the Disco; A Fever You Can't Sweat Out:
I bought this on the strength of the single that's been getting played on the radio and enjoyed the rest of the album.  It's a little bit 'youth' for me like but there's some good tunage for old punkers to enjoy similar to Jimmy Eat World I guess.

Jerry Garcia and David Grisman (hardly 'funky fresh'); Shady Grove:  After many years of purchasing different albums, I've finally 'got' what the Grateful Dead was all about and this album helped enourmously.  Garcia was a Blues/Bluegrass guy before forming the Warlocks and Grisman is a mandolin player.  This CD, compiled after Garcia's death by his pal Grisman is just the two of them on guitar, banjo, mandolin and fiddle working a bunch of old folk, blues and bluegrass standards.[/b]

why don't you go and buy some? if people don't make any money from making their music then the music will soon dry up.

What do you mean by that? I'm always grateful every time I receive information about music. That's why I just e-mailed r-man's flat mate thanking me for the Ulrich Schnauss tip-off.

Ok, something constructive: I think "William Orbit - Hello Waveforms" is nice.

Thank you very much, I shall look out for it!

I've had a taste of Mum.   You're right: great for falling asleep to; as opposed to being made to sleep.

The first few albums by the (NZ?) band "Labradford" are fantastic LP's for the somnambulist:  "A Stable Reference" / "Parazision" / and "Labradford".

because thankfully i'm not your mum. grow up, earn some. just because you want something doesn't mean you have the right to have it.

Went to see the Broken Family Band last night http://www.thebrokenfamilyband.com/  they were quality. They're from the UK but they sound like they're from Nashville or something, quality alt country americana action.
