So what about guisecliff - does it need to be dry for ages for the routes to be in condition?

The problem is it's North facing aspect and seepage from the Moor above. it certainly needs a couple of weeks after a lot of prolonged rain.

If you go and dont like it there is always Brimham.

The bouldering there is good as well.
