It was a bloody good day out! Really enjoyed it!

I stayed for an extra couple of hours and the fishing really picked up, shame it wasn't an evening match as I think we'd have all bagged some carp and barbel!

I reckon we try and squeeze another one in this summer!

If I was a really good boy and got into work early, I might be able to do a Weds Loxley evening if Huthers wanted to. Would prefer to be a little closer to home if possible but definitely feeling the psyche!

So we're potentially looking at another match, this time an evening affair on the 23rd July at Loxley. This would be an open match so not just UKBers but I'd expect the same level of banter

It was good to meet you all, I had a great day (though not on the weight I caught!)

It's my graduation on the 23rd so I can't make it to that match but I'll keep an eye out for future ones. Enjoy it!

Shame i missed it.

I am well up for and evening match but cant do the 23rd as on holiday. Are they running them all summer?

I did a fair few Wednesday matches there 2003-4 when Steve Adlam ran the place, you will catch a lot more fish. Three hour matches still used to throw up 30lb + winning weights. Guess you would all add a 0 to the weights you got last weekend.

Yeah the evenings are a lot more productive. After the match on Saturday I stayed for a couple of hours and started hitting the carp and barbel down the margins. My 3 biggest carp from the evening would have probably been 25lb+ alone! It's a shame we didn't bag up in the match but that's fishing I suppose.

I went again on Monday evening and the baliff said that they have stopped the Wednesday evening matches because they weren't busy enough. I think if we got a few people together they would let us have a match, I know a few Sheffield folk who might be keen.

So Wackers and I were discussing when we could hold another match this year. I've had interest from gme and Millso. Could interested parties hit me with some weekend possibilities and we'll see what we can sort out?

Shall we propose some dates and see if people are free? If we want a private match at Loxley then I think it will have to be a Sunday. Somebody will need to speak to them.
