I did a mantel to the right of Surprise Direct today. I'd be very surprised(!) if this hasn't been done before but I can't find it recorded anywhere. It's certainly worth doing and is independent of SD until the slab bimble above the mantel.
To the right of the starting rail of Surprise Direct is another good rail. Use this and a small pocket for your right foot to reach a mono on the slab with your right hand. Put your left heel on the starting rail and make a slightly worrying rockover onto the slab. Finish as for Surprise Direct.
