I shout at the wife quite a lot, but she usually deserves it.

Surely it's par for the course if you climb much with your "significant other"? We've had more than the occasional disagreement, usually involving me placing gear out of reach.

I found out JohnM's video about my little moment on The Terrace. Good days.

More of a minor disagreement/a bit pissed off rather than a full blown tantrum, but funny nonetheless.

I was belaying Gav at the Foundry years ago as he was f(l)ailing on a route.  He fell off again and shouted at the top of his voice "For fooks sake Gavin, yer climbin' like a fookin' woman!" as Ruth cruised past him on the adjacent route.  He was a bit embarrassed afterwards.

I witnessed a very similar scene at Volx back in the early 90s. Gav fell off and screamed: "How man, I'm climbing like a fuckin' woman!" A few routes to the left Lynn Hill was cruising up some hard route, and we all started sniggling like naughty schoolboys. Once Gav had calmed down he offered rather meekly, "Well, obviously not that one." Lynn just smiled and carried on nonchalently despatching her chosen route.

Had a couple of moments kicking chalk bags, pads, shoes and anything else within kicking distance akin to this

There's a brilliant Olivier Lebreton clip somewhere (from ~2007/8?) of him falling off something in Font, snapping a branch off a nearby tree and going proper Basil Faulty. Tried searching for it, but can't find it. Maybe Neil Hart knows where it is??

It's definitely up there with the Earl's tantrum on Neverland.

I heard a story of a blond haired rock god of yesteryear, who after falling off a route at Boux launched such a rant at his mother who was belaying. Passers by had to intervene to remind him how to behave. :worms:

Although this probably should have happened on a couple of occasions (the being reminded how to behave bit) I don't think it ever did.....

Think that might have been it at 01:10! Probably beats the Earl's tantrum.

proper basil Fawlty effort is at 1.18.  Tres amusant.

Whilst non-climbing, this is the benchmark, surely:

Fucking legend.
I'm sure that when he screams in Chezch, he says something the likes of: "My goodnees me, it's a real pity I fell off because I was climbing pretty good. I'm sure I'll do it next go, with a little bit of luck. And if I don't, who cares."

There's a bit in the Wizard's apprentice where Ondra falls off a low boulder problem into the arms of his spotter and they both end up sitting on the mat. His mate stares into the camera with a look of despair and embarrassment as he holds the screaming Ondra like a teething baby.

Jerry's near the start of Stick It is good too. :furious:

Some of you all may remember this little act of mine from a few years ago, when I climbed the first line in the Amiata Roof, before all the variations and all the harder lines.
Very embarassing, but true joy.

Always though that Ben Moon's "One Summer" tantrum / sulk set the gold standard for me.

I was just about to post that I'm really chilled and don't get all the tantrums and strops...and then remembered the first bit of this:

I don't know what Ondra is saying, but to me it always sounds like 'BIIIITCHES!' which is an awesome thing to shout when you fall off a climb. Almost like he shouting for something to console him. Playa.

More of a huff than a full blown tantrum but one day at Stanage I was having a bit of a solo and climbing like a bag od shit, so I decided to try some harder things in the hope that it forced me to climb better, after nearly falling from the top of the E1 on the left of Peddlar's arete (it might be rib or vice versa) I gave up, walked down to my car and drove back down south . . . leaving my tent pitched at North Lees and causing a bit of concern (or barely supressed expectation depending on your perspective) that I'd had a bad fall.
