Heard tonight from the missus that The Edge has shut down for good. Had anyone else heard?
My guess would be that means the end of the conversion at the old cinema - and perhaps the finances of that are what's shut them down - but I'm just guessing on that.
The wall seemed to me to be aging as much as most of it's customers, and the bouldering area stunk of piss the last few times I went, but the staff were always welcoming and it was a proper Sheffield institution.
Sad day.
