Crafnant

Never been, wondering how long the walk in is and if conditions are any good this time of year?

Much in the 6B - 7A range? Worth going if you're not a beast?

I'm guessing there are no topos but i've seen a few videos so have a vague idea of what's there.

Cheers

Not much in that range. I saw a topo from the new guide with more easy stuff but obviously it's not out yet.

Hmm, not worth the trip then? I've heard since the walk in is about 20 minutes?

What other mountain venues are good in winter? Apart from Sheep Pen.

Cheers

Last time I went in December it was wet through, thinking of heading there on Sunday as the forecast is windy and drizzle on Saturday then windy and dry Sunday. How long does it take to dry?

Am I being too optimistic...?

Cheers

If you chance it Luke, take stout footwear etc (not to sound like your mother). After rain the slopes get boggy, steep in places and slippery. As Doylo says, it does take a few days to dry. Tis ace mate!

Cheers bud, fell on my arse in a bog twice on the way down last time, after finding everything wet it was depressing...

Don't know whether to take the risk, but the problems look complete quality!

Travel light and give it a shot perhaps. Worth scoping out if you didn't get to see everything last time. If nothing else you could always head to the cave or indoors if out of bounds. The view up there is ace too isn't it!? Good luck if you do go mate!
