Bouldering Central France
November 30, 2013, 02:38:49 pm
Will be travelling West to East accross France. Can anyone suggest a good bouldering venue or two with a good range of grades and reasonable temperature (not too high up). The planned route will be through Bordeaux, Perigueux, Tulle, Ussel, Clermont Ferrand, Lyon, Annecy and into Chamonix - pretty much the route Google maps suggests.......

Would be very grateful of any suggestions particularly before hitting Lyon?

Cheers
Steve

This is a useful resource. http://www.ffme.fr/site/falaise.html

If you can take the route a bit further south through Aurillac you could visit St.Just in the Cantal, apparently there's a guide in the local bar, but they couldn't find it when I was there. Nice place. You don't say when you're travelling, it's likely to be cold until spring at 1000m.
