LPT conditions

Is LPT seepier than a grannies fanny or as dry as a camel's back? Any answers post to the usual address:
PO box 69, you know the rest...

I was upstairs last night, but spoke to a mate who'd been flailing on BBB. He said it was toothpaste. Seepage okay, but much temporary dampness. Be alright if wind picks up.

Giving it some serious thought as Kilnsey/Malham are sopping/minging greasy and midge death hell as far as I know. I'll speak to Ian/John later this week. I think the tides are Ok for LPT as well.

All true asfaik but unfortunately current met office forecast for Sunday is for cloud, light rain and a brisk northerly wind bringing temperaturs down to low teens - sounds like weather for malham, maybe upper tier.  Bring your duvet and imagine its March and it might just be tolerable  :(

Does anyone know what the conditions are like at LPT after all this rain, particularly on Bad Bad Boy?  Today has been the first day without rain but I imagine there will be quite a bit of seepage still.

Speculatively thinking of LPT/the Orme for valentines weekend, ie the 12th and 13th of February.  I have never been before, normally just carry on to the pass so I am in need of local info.  The tide times look good but what are the chances of anything being in condition?

Your main problem will be cold fingers.  Options for climbing in the sun are LPT mornings, Plumbline to Klondike area or somewhere like Lower Empire which get the sun.  You don't need to worry about seepage as the majority of routes are not affected by this.

Thanks for the reply, pleasing to know it is a possibility, got the gf one of these http://www.peacockhandwarmers.co.uk/ which has made a big difference to keeping hands/fingers warm while out climbing, well worth getting one!

It's been bone dry and minty looking. Gets a bit of runoff after rain but it should be fine.
