Is this the second ascent after Rich Simpson's casual solo on his way back from the New York marathon?

Simpson would've KO'd those sherpas. 16 high-altitude fights undefeated

Nah. Third. First was Dobber "not afraid of a few Sherpas" Whiilans and Dougal "not Stevie" Haston

Word on the street is he used a heel-toe that was out of the bounds on the upper rock band. So maybe not that impressive after all.

Multiple hands-off rests as well, so not even that endurance-y.

He did lose a glove though (lucky he wasn't swept off!), any idea if that changes the grade?

He's given it a personal grade:
Fun: 8. Suffer: 5. Risk: 7.

We all know the best climber is the one having the most fun, so I wonder how Steck's Fun8 compares to that one guy who took the medal up Everest, he must have been having more fun because he could send texts and everything!

Na, Herzog lost both of his on the FA, it's the traditional style on that boulder

  • "There's no cure for being a c#nt"
did he do it from the sitter or just the low start?

I'm waiting for video evidence before accepting that he didn't dab the mat on the first move

apparently the visiting foreign climber who witnessed it had a video camera and even though it was dark (due to early start) it should be possible to see his feet missing the mat

Did he cycle out from Sheffield at 4am because the buses hadn't started running yet?
