Good Wall Facilities...
July 28, 2013, 09:33:07 am
In the interest of trying to stay 'in-touch' with what seems to be a area which is still developing. I was hoping to someone might educate me on what training facilities and paraphernalia are considered to be a requirement for developing elite climbers these days?

I guess some might say that a few different angles of bouldering wall will enable you to train most things (and that might have some logic to it) but I'm more interested it what specific torture equipment exists (and is thought to be useful) for making gains in some aspect of a climbers ability.

As ever, many thanks for any knowledge you can impart.

Campus boards (varying thickness rungs)
Fingerboards (Beastmaker preferred)
Some places have those lapsis ball things..
Pull up bar
A set of rings (preferrably hung from as high a point as possible) - which are a much under-rated and useful bit of kit.
Some folk here rate deadlifting too...

Most importantly, a good coffee machine. :)
