Defcon 3 @ Gordale
July 28, 2013, 07:00:27 pm
Was on this yesterday, its a great route and not as nasty as i'd expected. Was just wondering what the consensus on the grade is? I was told by someone at the crag that its now 8a rather than 7c+. It seemed like hard 7c+/maybe 8a to my limited experience (miles miles harder than pierrepoint full etc)  Getting back on it later this week regardless. Anyone shed some light?

It was getting attention the weekend before last; there was talk of 8a then.

Interestingly, the extension looked clean and there were some newish looking biners hanging off the bolts. Does anyone know if this back to being an active project?

It never was an active project as such - only had one bolt placed and it was off line I full bolted it last week although it still needs some prep work before I get stuck in.

Cheers

What, you bolted this last week and it's still a closed project? Surely a whole 7 days is an adequate crack of the whip and now you are just denying others their opportunity to enjoy it.
