Pain on back of middle finger
July 16, 2013, 03:15:51 pm
The last couple months I've been getting a pain down the back of the proximal phalange of my middle finger. The pain runs right down the back/top, between the PIP and main knuckles (not the joints themselves) but only when I crimp, and there's no tenderness to touch or stretching or anything. After warming up its pretty fine so climbing is ok after ten or so minutes, but it comes back on a few hours after finishing climbing, and if I rest it takes three or four days to clear up. Because of where it hurts I'm guessing its an extensor thing?

The pain isn't too bad so it's fine if it's a deal with it/stretch more type thing, but any advice on what might help it clear up quicker and for good would be great!
