Hollin Wood, Knypersley, lone boulder
October 10, 2013, 06:29:52 pm
I know that there are a few boulders and routes listed around this area, most of which do not have access rights I believe but I walked past this one today in Hollin Wood which has clearly seen some recent action due to the chalk on the left arete.

What is this boulder? Does anyone have a topo?

That's amazing, like one of he big G's welsh esoteria tales but with a touch more insanity!

As I walked towards the stone I could feel an increasing resistance, as though I was being held away from it by someone exerting stronger and stronger pressure. When the push became almost physical I stopped. I would stay outside the bounds of the stone’s aura, then, until I had found a way to approach. Clearly, I wasn’t supposed to get too close yet. The energy felt like a strong male energy (See how now I can detect this by the feel of it alone? That’s progress in my world).

Meanwhile, back in the real world......

Great link, thanks!

I may have done as I was poking around underneath to see what holds it had under there! That left arete looks good.
