Wall under the keel (Almscliff)
July 11, 2013, 04:43:05 pm
Had a wander round the cliff last night and noticed there was what looked like freshly broken off, reasonably big (a couple of paving slab sized pieces at least) rock which looked as though it had come away from the walling underneath the keel.

No idea how fresh it is or if it is any cause for concern. I'm not familiar enough with the boulder to say. If nothing else though the blocks are making the landing for the problems to the left of the keel a bit spicier.

Maybe someone who knows it well could take a look next time they're up and tell me it's been like that for years and it's nothing to worry about?
