I find myself in Chamonix - and one of the gear shops seems to have a wide range of Scarpa rock boots for 80euros ish.. What's good what's not good? (I'm usually a five tennis...)
TT

Ps are those orange la Sportiva slippers (pythons?) any good as they're cheap ish too..

Magos if they have them?

I was a bit unsure about the Instinct Velcro slippers but they were growing on me fast. I doubt they'll be 80E though?

I'm rather happy with my new instinct lace ups for the lime this summer.

First pair of boots i've bought in over 12 years.

(used to be red chilli haboneros for me)

Magos then Instincts. The ones which fit you best.

What he said. I'm an instinct lace man, but that's because the other instincts don't fit ne that well. Used magos before them but instinct laces are much better IMO, especially at toe hooks

Pop into the Intersport in the corner between the High St and the street that goes down to the Midi station, opposite the Millet shop, and they have Sportiva Cobras (the 'other' orange slipper without the velcro strap) at just over 70 Eur. One of my all time favourite shoes, even though i'm normally a Scarpa-foot-type-guy.

Just be careful with the sizing if you get a pair, they stretch loads, so normally you'd get the smallest pair you can stuff your feet in and go through a week's pain before they become second skin.
