Do we know the climber killed in Yosimite? I know some UKB ers were there recently.

Thoughts go out to friends and family.

RIP. Is this the second fatality there this summer? I thought Paul B mentioned one last month.

Felix was a Castle regular. Top bloke.

Thoughts are with his family.

Rockfall on East buttress is a shit piece of luck, there can't be many more travelled routes.

Someone died on the Muir Wall a couple of weeks ago. This is also tragic. As JB said, there are few routes that see as much action as the east buttress. From anywhere on the SE face you can see the ant trail of headlamps making their way to the base of it early in the morning. Yet another reminder to be vigilant. A french climber pulled something off the NW face of half dome and died the week after I did it in 2011. He was apparently very good. I'm not very good. Just a bit luckier. Its been a bad year in Yosemite in general, with a couple of people going over the falls too

A tragic loss. Condolences to his friends and family.

Shit, I've climbed with Felix.  I didn't know him well, but he struck me as a genuinely nice guy.  This is tragic news for which I have no words.

Sadly another tragic event. Condolences to his friends and family.

Natalie and I climbed E. Buttress not long before and I couldn't work out what had come off until I saw the supertopo thread. Having done so I can't remember if I had gear behind exactly the same block as it's at a belay if I'm correct.
