I have finally accepted that these are too small . . .

Had about 6 - 8 hours (painful) wear all indoor so are chalky but otherwise in pretty much mint condition. In the interests of full disclosure, I did also spent a couple of hours wearing them with my feet in a bucket of warm water - it didn't strectch them at all.

They're in London - I can send pictures if required.

I don´t know where they hurt you.
But i had the same problem with my first pair of those and if it´s the achilles tendon where you can´t take the pain try to cut in the slingshot with a stanley knife.
The rubber there is pretty thick compared to other shoes so a few cuts won´t destroy the shoes but reduce the tension. worked well for me
