Don't some tyre 'pressure' sensors rely on the abs sensors to tell when a wheel is rotating at a different speed to the others (different diameter from puncture etc..)
I've only done <14k (in a year and 8 months) and I've had 4 new front tyres. All punctures, 3 in the first couple of months and one the other week.
Yes they're the same tyres as yours Tom. I think the only difference between our cars is the engine?
