There's been quite a few attempts at online video editing, up to now few have impressed or been very useable. Youtube have a basic editor built in.
http://www.wevideo.com looks quite nice, 15min/5gig projects free, you have to pay for HD output. Might be worth a play for short clips you intend to upload.
