A classy piece of esoteria and a must for all Bowland enthusiasts. There's a link to a video of the FA at the base of the news report on LakesBloc.

I think you'll find it is in Yorkshire, by about 10 metres.

After further map studying you may well be correct  :-[ The difference between a 'district' and 'county' boundary on an OS map is fairly ill-defined - some tiny intermittent dots to be precise.

1.5 hour walk in! That's keen! Well done Greg.

The difference between a 'district' and 'county' boundary on an OS map is fairly ill-defined - some tiny intermittent dots to be precise.

Flicking between ordnance survey and aerial view on bing suggests the border is the stone wall?

Does it really matter? After all its not as if the Crag is going to have to play cricket any day... ;)

(btw, while we're being pedantic, was that a dablet at c.11 secs?) ;)

No dab, minor or otherwise, it's a perspective thing. There's a dip at the base of the prow (as you can see in the image), whereas the video makes it look like the grass level is higher.

Thanks for the positive feedback, it is a good problem... if you don't mind a little walk.

I was just being cheeky ;) Been getting into Thorn this year, so might go and have a look if I fancy a good wander one day.

Good work Greg. Can't believe you didn't call it Lone Wolf though

I did think of that, but I'm getting a bit tired of crag name related route/problem names. 'Wolfman' was another option, rightly or wrongly, discarded for the same reason. Maybe next time...

Fair point. It does get boring a lot of the time. Take the (B)Eagle Stone, nobody knows which problem is which as they all have lame Beagle puns in them and noone can be arsed to remember which goes with which.
