Main maintenance/upgrade has been completed.

Please post here if anything is not working as it should be, etc.

Thanks  ;D

The peak is still wet following the upgrade, can you sort it?

I'll have a go :)

The front page portal side of things will be a bit messed up until thesiger comes to the rescue and sorts it as that's one bit I've not had anything to do with...but the main forums should be fine.

Only thing I noticed is that when you hover over the forum button (top left of screen), it doesn't bring up a list of the sub forums to click through onto.

Yup, tapatalk is a bit screwy since the upgrade.. SI click to see the thread and it takes me to the last page, except one there theres another page of threads, that's the same as the last one..
It's also just marked as read all the threads I'd not read.

It's not borked, just a but screwy..

Sorry, I've just redone the updates from yesterday which may have upset things a little.

I've finished now and cleaned the cache out, etc.

Looking at the forum via my Tapatalk, things look ok.

Tapatalk is well worth a couple of quid, thousands of forums use it.

Anybody know a reliable free download of tapatalk for android?

Those nice people at Google play try and charge you for it. (They're not happy trying to totally monitor and control all our lives!)

Google don't write/maintain the software they just take a slice of commission from those that do.

It comes up for free from time to time at Getjar/Amazon or can be heavily reduced on the Play Store.

I don't really mind paying £2 for such a useful app but if you can't stomach it then it's easy to find illicit copies you can use at your own risk. Just please don't post the links on here, we don't allow Warez links.

It's one of the few apps I've paid for and it's well worth the tiny price.

I've bought the app and am very happy with the layout and ease of use. I used to  just have the homepage as an icon this is miles better cheers for the beta, never heard of it before.

You may however see promoted adds in the application you have paid for.  Not sure if its limited to XDA.

Which seems counter-intuitive, normally you'd have adverts in free versions of an application, you then have the option to buy an add-free version.

I downloaded the version you linked and not come across any adverts as of yet. Find it much easier to view on my iPhone worth the couple of quid for the amount of time I spend on here.

I think the ads were limited to XDA but Tapatalk claimed there was some kind of "auto opt-in" for forum owners.  A bit out of order imo and I've never seen ukb/ukcaving serving ads to Tapatalk so I reckon that's bullshit.  Either XDA or Tapatalk were trying it on, paid apps should never had ads of any kind.

Anyway, I only ever saw them on XDA and now they've gone away.

If it isn't back up then, please take a look at the UKB Twitter feed for a revised estimate.

Good luck and thanks for the heads up. And especially for timing the upgrade for whilst I’ll be somewhere between Manchester and LA :)
