Bristol/CUBA calling

Any folks going from bristol/CUBA (counties that used to be Avon) to any localish venue for a few hours, bouldering or chuffing. Any offer of a lift would be gratefully appreciated.

I can't offer any petrol money, and am too shit for you to want to climb with. But i do offer very experienced, knowledgeable, totally reliable, spotting/rope holding for your chosen problem/route/project in return.

And i promise to behave myself!

How many UKBers are CUBA based out of interest?

Should just clarify.

I am happy as a pig in gladder to give you good proper belay, but i do expect my survival chances from my stance to be at least 50%. So that cuts out most north devon crags.

Only joking. I am really keen for wreckers slab. Anyone offering?

 :tumble:

nobody interested at all?

I can provide sworn statements saying that if you say "watch me" in a suitably anxious voice, there's at least a 30% chance I'll put my cider down and pay attention!

Another long shot this. But my punt on rock athlete came good. Hell, maybe i am on a roll.

Wee Dan, the bristol uni archaeology man.

Do you still climb and post on here per chance?

Last time i saw you we were playing hacky sack, and you were mumbling about reggae in the grass. I think you were on about the E2 at portishead. You may have been on about a quarry rave mind.

You knocking about on here bud?

Hi Crimp

When the weather improves and Cheddar and Avon dry out a little more than they are now, I'd be more than happy to give you a lift out.

I run TCA in Bristol and there's an online noticeboard on the website that might put you in touch with many more Bristol folk - http://www.theclimbingacademy.com/noticeboard/

Cheers
Paul

CUBA (counties that used to be Avon)

Well I never. I haven't lived in .uk for a while and was't aware of this. I also notice that all the county maps on t'internet show that Leicestershire Imperialism failed and Rutland is free again. Can this be true? When did it happen?

(Sorry for being wildly :offtopic:)

Some of us still resist! I always put Avon in the county box.  :boxing: :punk:

I still consider Bristol north of the Avon to be Gloucestershire, and south of the river to be Somersetcestershire.
