Hello,Just wanting to clarify a few things if that's ok... We were trying this at the weekend and in the Black Wales Guide it has V7 from the sit (describes starting from horizontal rail - that's almost hidden) and V5 from a stand.. We were starting it like thisBut seen a vid or two where they start it on the popcorn holds in a kind of semi sit.. Eg in this vid.. I couldn't do it, but it felt on the money starting on the low rail.. Nai and James got it done though..TT
Christ I'm making loads of mistakes tonight.. Just checked the guide and its V6...
I think the tide can wash the rocks in and out of the bottom making the sitter from the low slots more or less impossible. That is the proper low start though.
We're going to the Llyn en famille at Easter. Is it worth going at all with just one pad and no spotters ?Sorry I know this should probably be in a different thread
Pants, can't link to the pic I want.. GrrThat's better, though suspect its huuuuge..

The kids probably take much stuff anyway (clothes, toys, bikes etc)
Add in the width to the initial/opening img markup...Code: [Select][img width=1024]

This place needs an updated guide - I bet there is stacks more stuff since the last one came out!
on a similar note is there any rules on the incredible shaking man stand start...Is it strictly up the groove or is the pocket and shelf in?
The Incredible shaking Man V3A classic problem, ascending the left side of the seaward facing wall, past the slopey ledge system...
Agree. Thought (though I didn't tick it myself) that getting off the low break and established on the face was the crux.

I'm pretty sure I cusped the arete with my left just above his head in that pic, got a heel up and went through with right. Felt nice too.
When's the new guide meant to be out ?

We saw chalk on the other lines too, they look great. This place seriously needs an updated guide - I bet there is stacks more stuff since the last one came out!
on a similar note is there any rules on the incredible shaking man stand start. From the ledge I went out to the shallow pocket in the crack out left (below the ledge the guy reaches in this picture)http://www.ukclimbing.com/images/dbpage.html?id=176904but TT stuck strictly to the groove. Is it strictly up the groove or is the pocket and shelf in?
Anything goes, just climb as you see fit. For what it's worth I think it is probably 6B.
you guys do have a copy of Stick it!, right?
