I know this is a long shot

Mrs Starfish has middle class aspirations which include forcing encouraging the kids to learn to play the piano.

We live in a terraced house with thin walls, so getting a real piano isn't going to be too popular with the neighbours (especially with me having a play at 3am when insomnia returns): thus, I'm researching digital pianos.

So, anyone got such a thing knocking about that they want shut of?

Keen to get one with reasonably weighted keys

any age/condition/spec considered

Get a real one lagers, I've known two people who ove given them away.. So you might get one for nowt.. Appreciate the space/noise issues though..

yeah, seen plenty of real ones at pocket money prices, but I can't see it working out... for long

Getting it into the house would be easy enough and I quite like the idea of single handedly wrestling a piano across Sheffield, but it just wouldn't be fair on the neighbors

The hidden cost of old cheap/free pianos is of course getting em tuned. If noise is an issue then an electric is the only way to go.
