The S5000 looked a bit beefy when I saw the pictures for it, but when I actually saw it in the shop I was well impressed at its size, and it feels really good to hold (thats what I tell all the girls  )

Just need to find a decent case for it now, the fuji case looks shite. What case you using Bonjoy??

I've decided to switch to digital also and the s5000 is looking like a good buy at approx £230. My only concern is the viewfinder, do you guys that have the camera use it or do you just use the lcd display?

It really depends on the conditions, I do find the lcd display ok to use once you've got use to it and for the majority of shots thats what I will use.

The only problem is in sunny conditions it can be a bit difficult to properly pick out the detail on the lcd display and therefore switch to the viewfinder.

All in all it is a reet bo camera, I can dig out some shots for you and post them up if you are keen to see the qwality.
