Thread resurrection,

I've got one of those Decathlon ones. It's no Rab but perfectly decent for not totally Baltic conditions.

  Got my wife one so I don't have to endure "I'm cold" this winter.

I'm in a similar situation, my partner is after a down jacket for under £100.

If you're anywhere near Somercoats then get yourself to the Rab Factory Outlet, should be able to source something decent for a discounted price (has strange opening times, but I heared they are having a Saturday sale in the not too distant future, but can't find details on t'net to link to for you I'm afraid).

Do you know how much are they roughly when discounted? i'm looking for a new down jacket (mine is about 20yrs old and I'm not allowed to wear it while I'm with the wife as it "makes me look like a big issue seller) and I was quite surprised at how much some of the jackets are nowadays.

Probably won't help, but my local TK Maxx had quite a few Trespass down jackets in their racks yesterday, all under £100 .
Not sure how national these things are. (I once, and only once, found some Prana trousers in there - best £12 I ever spent).

No idea I'm afraid, my brother works down the road from the factory and popped in a couple of weeks ago to see what they had and told me there was a sale coming up soon (but didn't divulge details of costs or exact dates).  Could ask them via email/twatter I suppose.

Cheers for the replies.  I've always wanted to go to the Rab factory outlet, it's only 45 ish minutes from Sheffield so might pop down there.  I assume it's still open Wednesday and Thursday 1230 - 1530?

Asked my brother about prices last night, he hadn't paid masses of attention but said jackets (technical/down) that would normally be £200-250 were £80-100.

Could be worth checking Amazon this week as they've got Black Friday lightning sales going on. They had a couple of Trespass jackets (non-down) up today
