When the going gets tough nothing beats a full on crimp.

Good work Dave

Brilliant  :clap2:

I would echo his words about the quality of Steall Hut, it really is a fantastic crag

Blogspot.hk??

Good stuff, from the sound of it it was going to be a bit harder than 8c+/9a....it probably is... Nice photos.

Is it just me who feels they already know the outcome to this - the inevitable 'surpising send' when not expected and a new 9a+ which Dave will grade 9a?

Is it just me
(apologies this weather could be getting to me)

I was out by a grade.

The man doesn't know how to give in, beast.

I expect he may be erring on the side of caution given the hoohaa over his ability to grade last week.

Either way looks like an amazing line.

it surely is.  does this one sound a little more conservatively graded than usual?  Seems plausible this would have been given at least 9a had he managed it a few weeks earlier.

regardless, another fantastic effort from Dave.

He has a knee pad on, it would probably be 9b if he hadn't used it.

Great job!  :clap2:

Great to see him complete this after such a slog. His work ethic is incredible (especially in a non- Summer like this).
I can see why it went at the weekend. First dry crisp nick we've had in Scotland in months.

There's a hands-off rest just before the crux of Leopold. Works well enough with jeans, and with both jeans and a knee support you're laughing. That's why Leopold is down a grade.
