Gorge du Loup - camping
July 05, 2012, 12:50:00 pm
Thinking of going to Gorge du Loup next week to escape this terrible weather for a bit.  Has anyone got any recommendations of places to camp/bivvy near the crag?

Bump - anyone have experience of whether it's dodgy to doss round there in a van? I've heard conflicting things...

access to the crags is not a total given, so i would avoid dossing it in the gorge, though perhaps more out of consdieration for climbing access and being moved on by the fuzz, rather than what i had heard, which was that you'd get robbed - i'd consdier this unlikely.
campsites are a bit pricey, but you do get a proper nice place for it.
there may well be good van spots away from the climbing a bit, but that may negate the convenience aspect of the van in the first place.
