I’m trying to plan this years holiday with the misses, we are after some bouldering, the misses climbs up to about fb 5 but doesn’t like highballs or scary landings, I’m happy up to 7a.  But we are not climbing the whole time so needs to be somewhere with other entertainment, I like food and she’s into quaint towns, cafes and beaches.  We’ve already been to font so looking for somewhere different, I had a brief look at Italy….. http://info.rockrun.com/reviews/ibloc-bouldering-in-italy.html but any other suggestions or particular areas in Italy would be appreciated.  Oh and we also don’t have many fun tokens so somewhere not too pricey!

Portugal probably fits the bill. Sintra is abut halfway between lovely beaches and Lisbon which is a great city for exploring - both reasonably short drives. There isn't loads of bouldering but it is all pretty friendly, I think with a good range of grades.
