Where the hell is dry?
June 29, 2012, 02:40:07 pm
Ok so I am totally fed up of driving to wet crags or just going inside so starting this thread just for people to share information about dry places they know of rather than having to trawl hopefully through the isitgreasy threads.

So to start it off Cheddar is wet, really wet. Anyone any good news?

  I like the way you've started a thread about places that are dry......and told us where's wet!

Horsehoe Quarry is usually dry pretty quickly after rain. :clown:

Ravensdale was dry last weekend in terms of seepage, and cleared pretty quickly after a half-hour downpour.

Not much bouldering at either though I'm afraid.

Unfortunately it's as close to helpful as I can get!

Cheers for the knowledge, hoping for some bouldering personally though.

All the Lancs quarried grit seems pretty dry. Bit of a breeze and the friction's quite good. Please people, don't clog the motorways in your haste...

I heard a wild rumour that the cave and the tor might be dry so I'll be there, wish me luck!

A wild rumour? I honestly don't know why I bother  ;)

Pretty good this afternoon. Routes around Sardine etc. dry. Ring of Fire dry.

Had a quick look at the right hand end and most of the bouldering seemed dry, Powerband slots all dry.
