Glendalough without a mat
May 16, 2012, 09:12:57 am
Hi guys,

should really ask on theshortspan, but thought I'd ask here first.

I'm heading over to a wedding in Laragh next weekend and hope to get a morning bouldering done at Glendalough. The question is, do I need a mat or can I get away with chosing problems that don't have bad landings? I generally climb 5-6bish. Could really do without the hassle of hiring/taking a mat on the plane.

Also, any recommendations for good problems on the 5-6b range much appreciated.

Tom

Tom you may well meet other boulderers there. If you don't I think you would be pretty ok without a mat. most of the best problems in that range are beside the path and have good landings. If you have a copy of the guide check out the blue and red circuits for starters, should keep you busy for a morning or two.

If you don't have a guide PM me, I have sold out but have a few copies that got wet and can't sell...

Thanks Dave, I've got a copy of your guide book already thanks  ;D it's a nice book.

I'll give those problems a try.
