The National!
April 10, 2012, 04:10:45 pm
Every single time I come back to this band, I'm completely bowled over by how good they are. Their songs seem superficially simple, but always manage to get right under my skin. Here is a perfect example of one of their melancholy masterpieces!

Right, I'm off to the pub to drink on my own and wallow . . . . . .

Boxer is one of my favourite albums of all time. I am always ready to listen to it, which doesn't happen with many albums.

Damn... thought this would be a thread where I could gloat about winning loads of dosh on the Grand National

However, having listened to the tracks and done some other research, I'm very impressed!

Cheers chaps...

Alligator is one of my favourite albums - dunno why..... Its a pretty sombre affair in places but there are a few great tracks mixed up in there. All the Wine being a personal fave - reminds my of many a night out with the elusive Darwen Weasel..... :alky:

Mustard mitt, I've heard a lot about them, but never really listened in earnest. Which of the abovementioned albums is a good recommended starting point?
