Well done Stu  :)

Didn't get to go to the Slipstones this weekend coz it's just been grim fog, rain, fog - shite. Are we going to get any dry weekends?

Weather was absolutely stunning here in HK - 20 odd degrees, cool breeze, no humidity and bugger all other climbers as they were all at a comp. what more could you ask for

Once again i got no rock-contact this weekend, this weather is a shitty bag of sweaty twat fuck jism turd bollocks. I bearly even touched plastic.

But the steelers beat belfast 6-1 so it wasn't all bad.

I cry myself to sleep at night thinking about it    - in all honesty though, it is about the only thing i miss about the UK - that and having so much variety of climbing so close together (getting a bit bored of visiting the same old crags week in week out over here)

the foreseeable future is what its looking like. Grace wants to hit her 10 years with Cathay so we can hang on to those cheap flights for life (which means atleast 3 more years here).

The more i think about though, the less sure i am i want to bother coming back to the UK - especially after listening to how cack its been of late, those two weeks in Sept / Oct almost convinced me i could hack it again but that was just damn good timing with the UK weather.

Oz or New Zealand it could well be (just need to visit everywhere else in the world first before hiding away in one remote corner)

My brother's the same - he's been out of the uk for about 8 years now and has no desperate urge to return, despite not liking Japan all that much - it's a bit hectic. They're thinking of Oz too. Apparantly Melbourne is a fantastic place to live. Let's face it, although the UK has many things going for it, the weather and overcrowding are just taking the piss. Funny though, lots of people do say they miss the grit....and marmite!

NZ would be nice, but the problem is the weak value of their currency - once you're there, you're not going to make good money on an international scale so might limit future trips abroad, etc.  I've known a few Kiwi IT contractors who've been working over here for a few years just to pay off their mortgages and make a good wedge before returning home.
