Woodwell Oert Road - No Dogs Please
March 26, 2012, 09:12:21 pm
Just been down to Woodewell O’ert Road for the first time this year and bearing in mind this is the first full ‘season’ the crag has been open to use for about 10 years, I encountered a worrying potential access issue:

3 individuals turned up at the crag with a dog. This in spite of the fact that in every bit of web content available and on the sign at the entrance to the crag area it says “Dogs are NOT allowed”.

To be fair they did take the dog away after I made my obviously agitated protestations, stating that they didn’t realise.

Anyway a reiteration, PLEASE stick to the agreed access stipulations:

1. For ecological reasons, bouldering is only permitted on the three designated areas. Climbers should not proceed past Cave Buttress - this will be marked with a sign.
2. Dogs are NOT allowed.
3. Climbers must not enter the field directly below the rock.

Thanks.
