The answer appears to be six for England, seven for Scotland and eight for NI and as the UK is the worst place for holidays in Europe, England is the lowest of the low for time off work.

But holidays are governed by the Working Time directive so all this means is we get more choice of when to take ur holidays. I understand not everything in the garden is rosey but it always seems to me that people are quick to do down living in Britain without a real understanding of what things are like elsewhere in the world.
