Calling Scottish boulderers
December 13, 2002, 11:26:12 am
I've had several mails requesting information on the sandstone boulering in Torridon.

I can't find any info anywhere - do any of you know anything about it? Does it exist? Is it any good?

There seems to be a load of new areas being developed north of the border too, which ones do people rate the most? I've only ever been to Dumby when I lived in Glasgow, and although there was some great problems there, a lot of them were too hard, and let's face it, Dumby isn't the most pretty place to climb

You could look on scottishclimbs.com which is inhabited by active scottish boulderers. There's plenty to do in Torridon and the sandstone makes a nice change from micah-schist, but there is a lot more in other locations.
