Miura Sizing..
January 07, 2012, 09:04:23 pm
Hi folks, just got myself a pair of La Sportiva Miura's loving them sofar but they are so tight ! not sure if it's too tight really. Not painful as such but my toes are certainly squashed.

I normally wear a UK 8.5/9 in trainers, so I got a 42 in the Miura's. tried a 43 and I wasnt sure between the 2. I ended up with the 42's, will they stretch a little maybe ?

My normal shoe size is UK 10.5 and my Miuras are 42.5 Euro for trad and 42 for sport, I'd just give them a chance to soften.

They'll be fine! I'm a 9.5 in trainers and wear a 41 in the miuras. They seem to mold to your feet quite well so just give them a chance.

I'm a 42 in Miuras lace-ups and my normal shoe size is 45 (whatever that is in sterling). I didn't find they needed much breaking in.

Are yours lace-ups or velcros? They are entirely different shoes despite the name; lace-ups seem to fit my feet very well and velcros don't. ymmv.

They are Lace up's. The shape is perfect just seems a bit too tight all round, thanks for your replies guys makes me feel better, I'll give them a while to break in some.

I guess the sizing must have changed  since I last bought some. I'm an 8 and wear a 39 in the miura.

I don't have Miuras, but ALL the Sportiva shoes, in my experience, do stretch a lot.

Perhaps they don't fit your foot shape?

I'm a UK 10 (45) and wear an 8 (42) muira VS and they didn't really need more than a session to be comfortable (velcros). I found the laces uncomfortable but don't wear them any more.. They didn't have enough height above the big toe and caused me lots of pain!
