folk have looked but sounds like it'd need a lot of work. Think its knackered really.

I went for a look about two months ago. I'm not a massive boulderer but it didn't look too good to me - lots of very brittle blocks of micro-granite/dolerite or whatever the rock is, obviously been cooked. Probably with some serious cleaning/descaling you could transform it into something a bit better than it is at the moment (I have no idea how good it used to be).

Think Patch did something on Conwy mountain, there is a little quarry up there but i didn't see much potential for it. I guess you could go for an explore but i've got no tip offs for you i'm afraid

There are a couple of good problems in the little quarry up behind Notice Board Crag.
Big 6Aish arete and a r-l low rising traverse line on a steep little wall - Patch did this years ago and it's about 7B. You can also get pumped by traversing the right side of the quarry - a bit like doing an E5 at Gogarth (style wise).
As for Roadrunner - I am still grieving...

This has got me wondering. From what I saw when I went recently, it looked like the rock has been cooked and gone brittle. Might it be worth going there with sledghammers, chisels and wire brushes and just totally go to town on the place and 'create' hard boulder problems, drilled slots included. It'd be completely manmade, but it was anyway, and so is Parisella's (to a degree). It might be possible to create good problems on rock no??
